Abilities: A deep understanding of pretty much every scientific concept and the ability to create medicines and and other pharmacological substances via transmutation.

Personality: Proteus is basically a big, seething bottle of frustration. His life's work is very important to him but so far utterly unfilled, obliging him to seek other means of employment that distract him from the task at hand. He is studious, serious, and is generally perceived as a having a prickly demeanor. He often tries to be nice, but it usually comes off as condescension. He doesn't mean it.
